Description de la mission

The Ground Engineering (GE) business line of the VSL group is looking for an Operations Manager for the Europe and North Africa area.
This position is based in Paris but involves some travelling within the Europe - North Africa zone.

Your Responsibilities

Reporting to the GE business line Director, the Operations Manager supervises various foundations projects simultaneously or intermittently as the case may be.

Ensuring effective planning and supervision of the projects, his/her main responsibilities are:
Work hand-in-hand with the project managers / teams to create a mutual understanding of the project strategy
Make sure there is efficient allocation of resources to guarantee that projects are delivered to the highest standards of safety, quality and within the stipulated timeframe and budget
Ensure safety procedures are conformed to at all times on the different projects
Conduct in-depth reviews and analysis operational and financial risks in the execution of the projects
Help project managers and engineers in the arrangement and analysis of projects and scheduling of reports on projects
Oversee projects as they are being carried out to make sure that the work is done according to outlined specifications, and that they also conform with project timetable
Convey project needs from the project manager to Senior Management
Assist in the maintenance, development, and enhancement of the company’s relationship with Clients in a bid to produce strategic partnerships
Train and mentor employees in areas of project management

Your Profile Good and effective communication skills Good analytical and organizational abilities Possess good leadership ability, as well as ability to work as part of a team Ability to read and interpret technical specifications Ability to be proactive and also to foresee events and react appropriately towards them The ability to multitask and strategize in different situations Ability to work and carry out projects within a stipulated time frame or deadline Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil or mechanical engineering At least 10 years on-the-job experience in a similar role or project management capacity
