In March 2016, Adrien was selected to be part of Promo 3 of the INTERNational Program, joining the IDRIS Tunnel project in Qatar, a move that was to mark the beginning of a superb adventure and quench his thirst for challenges and international experiences - and which is still continuing today !
The INTERNational Program enabled me to join the IDRIS worksite in Qatar for my end-of-study project which concerns a sewage tunnel measuring some 16kms with 11 collection shafts to the south of Doha. I was in charge of preparing and launching the excavation of 5 temporary shafts - temporary but sturdy: 8 to 10m in diameter, 30m deep...
Following this project, I was offered the chance to commission what we had prepared during the first 6 months here, and so I signed up for a 1 year IVB (International Volunteers in Business) as a Works Supervisor/Engineer to carry out the excavation of the 5 wells.
After successfully completing these assignments, I accepted a permanent contract at Bouygues Travaux Publics. Today, I am Shaft Deputy Manager, still on the IDRIS project, but seeing through definitive structural engineering works this time. 11 in all along the tunnel's course!
