In Dominican Republic, Bouygues Batiment International is building for their clients a Four Seasons' luxury Resort and Residences, in Tropicalia.
The Health & Safety Manager will be responsible for the following missions:
Manages the Health, Safety, Quality & Environment department
Evaluates the process and the effectiveness of the Health & Safety Plan.*
Prepares Project Management Plans, (Safety, Environmental, Quality, Emergency)*
Reviews Works Management Plans
Reviews and advises on Subcontractor Works Management Plans
Reviews Inspection, Test & Approval Plans
Review Risk Assessment documentation and verify control measures.*
Review Health & Safety assessments for all hazardous substances brought onto site.*
Reviews Method Statements for safe working practice.*
Reviews non-conformances for improvement actions to prevent recurrence
Manage the NCR Process
Issues Improvement or Corrective Actions
Conducts Quality Benchmarking Audits on the implementation of the Quality System.
Reports to the Project Director and Owner on systems activity in the monthly progress report.
Co-ordinates the 6 monthly reviews for the Project Manager/Director
Co-ordinates the reporting of Corporate Key Performance Indicators
Assists in the development of Project/Department Improvement plans and objectives
Manages audit follow-up
Assists the production team in Co-ordinating the Subcontractor/Supplier and Consultant performance assessment process
Review and Analyse the Partner Selection Survey with the Production Manager
Ensure implementation of Access Control procedure
Assist the Human Resources Department in coordinating project based training, including the induction of BCRD staff and subcontractors in all areas
regarding safety procedures on site.*
Liaises with local authority and central government, statutory enforcement agencies, e.g. Factories Inspector & Environmental Management Authority.
To audit and promote communication by means of Tool-Box talks, Information boards and Consultation forums.*
Manage implementation of TOPSITE.
Adopt and comply to the company Ethics Code and Compliance Program.
Manages the H&S reporting to BYCN.
On site, the H&S manager will especially have to ensure:
The supervision of the community liaison management and its officer
The adequacy of BCRD management system with the Owner requirements
Participation to the Owner's Audit on the Tropicalia ESMS system
Liaison with HSQE Owner's representatives
This position will be based on site.
