Ensures that the works are properly executed.

Laurent, site manager
There’s something very tangible about our profession! When we arrive there’s nothing there, and when we leave there’s a building that’s ready to function. Each morning, it’s a pleasure to meet up with the lads and every day is different, there are always unexpected things to deal with. It’s a line of work where you can go a long way if you’re ambitious and you invest in it. It’s still possible to start off on the bottom rung and work your way up.

You organise and carry out projects, depending on your activity (building, civil works, electricity, air-conditioning, mechanics, etc.), in partnership with the works supervisor or the contract manager.

Your main duties

  • Seeking out the best technical solutions techniques from the preparation to the organisation of the site, in terms of building methods and managing the teams
  • Ensuring that targets set by the works supervisor or the contract manager are met with regard to planning, scheduling, personnel and costs
  • Monitoring the progress of the site and drawing up the survey of completed works
  • Ensuring that quality and safety standards are applied on the site

Your future path

A move into Site Supervision and/or other fields (building/civil works, electricity, mechanical engineering, etc.)

Your profile

You have a technological university qualification in building, civil works, civil engineering or energy or you already have a successful experience as a Site Manager. You have great people skills, needed to motivate your team! Your capacity for organising, your methodical nature and your ease with numbers will enable you to optimise the preparations and optimisation of construction sites.
