The Company
Sicma, a 100% subsidiary of Bouygues Travaux Publics, was created to carry out the Abidjan metro line 1 project.
Its main objectives:
- Improve mobility, the fluidity of urban traffic and the quality of life.
- Provide the city of Abidjan with a modern public transport offer.
- Serving the most populated municipalities in the North and business areas industrial and commercial in the South.
The Role
The experienced site manager supervises production teams on medium-sized projects of standard complexity or technicality. They report to the project management supervisor when the project is larger in scale.
They serve as the point of contact for external organizations and administrative authorities in the absence of the works management hierarchy.
They are responsible for ensuring a positive social climate on their construction site.
Responsibilities of the Site Manager
Preparation and Organization:
- Prepare the site: monitor supplies, organize installations, and coordinate external stakeholders.
- Build and manage teams, including recruitment under fixed-term contracts and internal transfers.
- Contribute to technical choices with management and utilize document management tools.
- Analyze and distribute execution plans, identify specific equipment needs, and interpret complex plans.
- Implement topographical tools (tachymeter, GPS systems) for construction layout.
- Organize site logistics: circulation, storage, and waste management.
- Adhere to lifting management plans and supervise related operations.
Work Planning:
- Collaborate on work schedules and incorporate key milestones set by management.
- Plan personnel, tools, and equipment needs for the next three weeks.
- Manage material and equipment stock while accounting for other stakeholders’ constraints.
Risk Analysis and Prevention:
- Identify, analyze, and mitigate work-related risks.
- Develop and explain secure operating procedures.
- Define and implement health, safety, and prevention measures.
- Draft and monitor non-conformity reports.
Coactivity Management:
- Address constraints caused by other stakeholders and ensure safety in cases of coactivity issues.
Monitoring and Execution Control:
- Explain execution procedures to teams and ensure compliance.
- Oversee intervention sheets and daily briefings.
- Control expenses and implement corrective actions for budget deviations.
- Participate in financial reviews and validate daily reports.

- BAC +2 degree in publics works or construction.
- Experience in construction site management as a site manager.
