Key activities

Responsibilities and activities can vary according to the sector and size of the host structure. You will mainly be required to:

  • Develop tailor-made solutions which boost project performance
  • Improve performance at every stage of operations
  • Increase the value of projects: financial, ethical, human, technical or innovation-related
  • Monitor the market continuously
  • Integrate social responsibility in purchasing processes
  • Negotiate purchasing issues, taking into consideration the deadline and quality requirements and considering the issues and risks related to the project
  • Implement group purchasing policies and areas of focus (innovation, digitalisation, internationalisation) within projects
  • Manage supplier performance
  • Use group purchasing tools locally
  • Set up or support procurement departments in the development of their strategies
